Cookie Policy

Last Updated: April 5, 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Browser localStorage is similar — it stores data locally in your browser without sending it back to our servers on every request.

This Cookie Policy explains exactly what cookies and local storage Re-create.ai uses, why, and what choices you have. We believe in full transparency about data practices.

2. Cookies and Storage We Use

Re-create.ai uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies/storage. We do not use marketing, advertising, or analytics tracking cookies.

2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies (Authentication)

These cookies are essential for the Service to function. Without them, you cannot log in or stay authenticated. They are set automatically when you sign in. Under GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent.

Cookie NameProviderPurposeDuration
sb-[project-id]-auth-tokenSupabaseStores your encrypted authentication session token to keep you logged inSession (cleared on logout or browser close)
sb-[project-id]-auth-token-code-verifierSupabaseUsed during the OAuth PKCE (Proof Key for Code Exchange) sign-in flow with GoogleSession (deleted after sign-in completes)

[project-id] is replaced by the specific Supabase project identifier. These cookies are HttpOnly and Secure — they cannot be accessed by JavaScript and are only transmitted over HTTPS.

2.2 Functional Storage (Theme Preference)

We use your browser's localStorage to remember your display preferences. This is not a cookie — it stores data only in your browser and is never sent to our servers.

Storage KeyTechnologyPurposeDuration
themelocalStorageRemembers whether you prefer the light (lofi) or dark (graphite-mint) themePersistent — until you clear your browser data or change the setting

No personal data is involved. This is purely a UI preference.

4. Third-Party Cookies from Embedded Content

Re-create.ai processes YouTube video links server-side and does not embed YouTube videos directly in the interface. Therefore, YouTube does not set cookies when you use the Service to analyze YouTube videos.

If you click any external links (e.g. to YouTube, Google, or other sites), those sites may set their own cookies subject to their own cookie policies.

5. Managing and Deleting Cookies

You can manage or delete cookies and localStorage through your browser settings. Note that deleting authentication cookies will log you out of Re-create.ai.

6. Legal Basis for Cookies

We will update this Cookie Policy if we add new cookies or storage mechanisms. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above. If we add non-essential cookies in the future, we will display a consent notice and ask for your permission before setting them.
